To be GFCO certified every facility that Quinn product is made in goes through intensive audits and testing that ensure no Quinn pretzel ever has traces of gluten. Each manufacturing facility has incredibly stringent food safety practices in place. These practices include thorough cleaning and regular testing of equipment.
Are there any allergens of concern for potential cross contamination in Quinn pretzels?
Allergen statements and ingredients used in Quinn products are found on the back of all Quinn packaging and can be viewed on our product pages online. If you have further questions, please reach out to us through our CONNECT page.
I’m not happy with the flavor, color, or taste of my pretzels. What can I do?
We’re sorry you’re not enjoying our delicious pretzels as much as we are. The science behind pretzel baking is a complex one and unfortunately that means that even the smallest change in processing or baking time can change the physical appearance of the product, resulting in some variations with the shape and color of the pretzels! We want you to know that we at Quinn take the quality of our products very seriously and want to ensure that our customers are receiving only the highest quality products! If you are unhappy with your recent bag of pretzels for any reason, please email us on the CONNECT page of our website with and if possible, include Best By and Batch information located in the top corner of the bag so we can make things right.
Where does the mixed tocopherols in your pretzels come from?
The mixed tocopherols are derived from Non-GMO sunflower oil extract.
What is Palm Done Right?
Palm Done Right is an initiative under Natural Habitats that is committed to sourcing palm oil in a rigorously sustainable way. We partner with PDR because they follow a "Palm Done Right Promise," that ensures that their palm oil is 100% organic, deforestation free, wildlife friendly, fair and socially responsible– ultimately improving the quality of life for all stakeholders. You can learn more about our palm oil on our Farm To Bag page or at the Palm Done Right Website.
Why does the serving size or number of Pretzels vary in each bag?
The number of pretzels in each bag varies slightly because we sell our pretzel products by weight. While the number of pieces may vary slightly from bag to bag, as individual piece weight/density varies from batch to batch/run to run, we can confirm that the same quantity is included in each bag of our pretzels. If you are unhappy with the serving size in your recent bag of pretzels for any reason, please email us on the contact page of our website with more information so that we can make things right!
Why do you use sunflower oil in your products?
We chose to use high oleic sunflower oil in our pretzels because we love its rich buttery flavor. We source our oil from Colorado Mills, who presses their oil just a few hours from our office. Working with a local company like Colorado Mills helps us have more transparency and a lower carbon footprint than we would sourcing avocado or coconut oil from other countries. You can learn more about our Organic High Oleic Sunflower Oil on our Ingredient Transparency page or at the Colorado Mills website.
Why are you using pea protein in your products?
We incorporated pea protein in our gluten free pretzels to help mimic the dough qualities that gluten typically provides. Yellow peas are also a very useful rotational crop for US farmers as they add nitrogen back to the soil and are drought tolerant which is in alignment of Quinns mission to support regenerative farming practices.
My microwave popcorn didn’t pop very much. What do I do?
Quinn Microwave Popcorn is different, in the best way, from all other microwave popcorn brands on the market. Our patented Pure Pop bag® is the only microwave popcorn that does not use a susceptor! Susceptors are commonly a sheet of metal inside microwave popcorn bags that have the ability to absorb electromagnetic energy and convert it to heat. Quinn removed the susceptor from our bag because we just don't feel good about a hot sheet of metal next to our food. We have made sure that our kernels pop the way that nature meant for them to be popped, using only heat as the source!
Without the metal susceptor, kernel popping can be a bit touchy and relies on your microwave. Every microwave is different and that is why it is SO important that you figure out the perfect amount of time required for Quinn popcorn in your microwave.
Most importantly, while popping your popcorn: Stay, watch, and listen and do it in ALL one go! Don't start and stop, popcorn needs the momentum to successfully pop! Listen to those popcorn kernels. When there are 2-3 seconds per pop, it’s done! Check out this page for our full list of microwave popcorn tips and tricks.
My microwave popcorn was missing the seasoning and/or oil pouches or I didn’t like the flavor. What do I do?
These boxes are packed by hand and while very rare, incorrect or missing packets happen occasionally. If you suspect that your popcorn may be missing seasoning or oil pouches, or you are otherwise unhappy with the flavor of the popcorn, please fill out the information on the CONNECT page.
How is the Palm-Oil in your popcorn sourced?
The palm oil that we use in our products is ethically sourced from Natural Habitats. Natural Habitats is a small group of farmers in Ecuador who are committed to sustainable, organic, and fair-trade agriculture. We partner with PDR because they follow a "Palm Done Right Promise," that ensures that their palm oil is 100% organic, deforestation free, wildlife friendly, fair and socially responsible– ultimately improving the quality of life for all stakeholders. You can learn more about our palm oil on our Ingredient Transparency page or at the Palm Done Right Website.
Are there any allergens of concern for potential cross contamination in Quinn-Pop at-Home Popcorn Kernels?
Good news! There are no allergens of concern associated with Quinn Pop-at-Home Popcorn Kernels.
Why do you use a plastic wrapper around the microwave popcorn bag?
The plastic wrapper is 100% necessary in order to ensure that the popcorn actually pops in the microwave. Popcorn needs a precise water content in order to pop, between 12.5 and 14% water, and the plastic serves as a barrier to “lock” that water into place. Without the plastic the corn would get too wet or too dry in a very short amount of time, and consumers would get a bag full of duds. We're always looking for more sustainable ways to package this and if we do find an alternative that works, this will certainly be something that we pursue!
Are your microwave popcorn bags compostable?
The Pure Pop® microwave popcorn bags are made with compostable paper, however, please check with your local compost guidelines to see if our popcorn bags are compostable in your area.
Are your pretzel bags recyclable?
Why did you switch from a carton to a pouch for your Pop-At-Home Popcorn kernels?
The switch to the pouch led to a large reduction in our carbon footprint and contributed to less greenhouse gas emissions than the carton. The carton also had a plastic coating over the cardboard to ensure the safety and freshness of the kernels, making it far more difficult and costly to recycle across the United States.
What is PCR (Post Consumer Recycled) Content?
PCR content is plastic that has been recycled from the larger plastic stream/landfill. This could mean that the last water bottle you recycled was broken down and repurposed and now makes up part of the 35% PCR content of our new pouch’s packaging.
Collaborations / Social Media Inquiries
How do I get in touch for social media collaborations or brand ambassador opportunities?
Currently, we do not have a brand ambassador program in place as we are still a growing brand. As a result, we aren’t taking on any new sponsorship opportunities at the moment, but we hope to be able to do so in the future as we continue to grow! To keep in touch and stay up to date on potential social media collaboration opportunities, please reach out to us on our CONNECT page and a member of our marketing team will be sure to reach out if we are interested in teaming up! If you have a media kit/portfolio, don’t forget to include that in your email, too!
Would Quinn Snacks be interested in donating to our cause or upcoming event?
While we would love to help with every donation request we receive, as a growing brand, we’re still limited in what we can do. We stick to a small number of causes and events each month that align strongly with our mission to provide real, nutritious food to kids and families, support US farmers and producers, and empower people to know where their food came from. If you would like to partner with Quinn for an event/donation, please contact us through our CONNECT page with the details and a member of our team will get back to you if we are interested in teaming up.
