Frequently Asked Questions

Can I compost the microwave popcorn bag?

If you’d like to compost our Pure Pop Bag, simply cut or rip off the seams (those cannot be composted due to the glue) and put the rest of the bag in your compost bin. If you’re composting at home make sure to mix your popcorn with the oil in a bowl to keep the oil out of your compost bin. The oily paper is totally okay to go into industrial compost though. The carton is recyclable through curbside recycling.

Is your Vermont Maple Kettle Corn vegan friendly?

Yes! Not only is our Vermont Maple Kettle Corn the perfect sweet & salty snack, but it is dairy free & vegan friendly.

What does Pure Pop Bag® mean?

Quinn Microwave Popcorn is different, in the best way, from all other microwave popcorn brands on the market. Other microwave popcorn bags contain a patch of metalized plastic foil called susceptor. In some cases, it helps popping, but we just don’t feel good about very hot plastic next to our food. Our Pure Pop Bag® is made of ONLY compostable paper, and filled with our Organic Non-GMO popcorn kernels. No chemicals, no plastics, no scary stuff.

What is the secret to a perfectly popped microwave bag of popcorn?

First and foremost, do NOT walk away from your popcorn while it's in the microwave. Stay, watch, and listen. We suggest starting at 3:00 minutes - when you hear the pops slow down to 1-2 seconds apart, that's when you know they are ready. Additionally, the 'popcorn' button has a bad tendency of burning popcorn, it's not your friend. Check out our full page of tips & tricks!
